Doha, Qatar, will host the Thirteenth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice from 12 to 19 April 2015. The themes, agenda items and topics at the Thirteenth Congress were determined by resolution 67/184 of the United Nations General Assembly. Preparations for the Thirteenth Congress were also advanced by the General Assembly through its resolutions 65/230 and 66/179. Taking into account the recommendations of the Commission, the discussion guide for the Congress was reviewed by the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice. Four regional preparatory meetings were held in Latin America and the Caribbean, West Asia, Asia and the Pacific, and Africa in 2014. Participants are expected to examine the issues to be discussed at the Thirteenth Congress and the make action-oriented recommendations for consideration by the Congress.
