The 48th Session of the Commission on Population and Development will take place at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 13 to 17 April 2015.
The Priority Theme of the session is ‘Realising the future we want: integrating population issues into sustainable development, including the post-2015 development agenda‘. Representatives of Kejibaus are attending the session as an NGO in Consultative status with ECOSOC.
The provisional agenda has been based on existing legislative authority, in accordance with Economic and Social Council Resolution (LVII). The post-2015 development agenda will be reported in addition to the monitoring of population programmes and focusing on integrating population issues into sustainable development. The flow of financial resources for assisting in the further implementation of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development will also be reviewed.
