The representatives of Kejibaus, as one of the accredited organisations, participated at the 3rd UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Sendai, Japan, in March 14 to 18, 2015. There were several sessions and lessons learnt from the conference.
Firstly, we must commence the collective efforts by the people and the government of Japan to host the rest of the world to that remarkable record.
Secondly, we understand the power of global connectivity to reduce disaster risk which bring about several platforms to work with it gives pre-knowledge on disaster risk especially for those of us that is has not really happening in our regions. It has cement familiarities with climate change.
Several lessons leant on how the host nation, Japan were able to approach such situation during and after the effort during our several tours at the conferences we realized the essence of united front from the Japanese people on how several sea sides area was rebuilt.
It is therefore important to several nations especially the developing nations to learn from this and always ready for the likely challenges of disaster risk as it affects mostly children there is need for quick response team with trained personals in developing nations.
